CUSTOM NIB STUDIO (GENA SALORINO) X STILO&STILE

Gena Salorino is a full-time nibmeister living in Los Angeles with their partner Kyle and two cats. They love pens, books, architecture, and traveling. They trained with nibmeister John Mottishaw for the better part of four years, where they learned tuning, nib customization, and vintage pen repair. They have traveled to Japan and visited with Pilot, Namiki, Platinum, Nakaya, and Sailor. They was lucky enough to participate in Maki-e, gold leaf, and nib tuning workshops while they was there. Since growing up around their grandfather’s print shop in Pennsylvania, they have loved both workshops and the written word. One of their most famous specialty nib is Esterbrook Journaler. We are happy to introduce a similar version called Mini CSI.

MINI CSI

Inspired by a vintage nib, Mini CSI is made from a medium nib that has been ground to a smooth, stubby italic. The idea is that the grind will add a good line variation to your writing while being friendly enough for daily use thanks to its size. You can write with a flair on your planners,  for your daily notes and all the daily writing needs.

REVERSE ARCHITECT POINT

Reverse Architect Point grind writes as a Fine nib on the normal side and an Architect  on the reverse of the nib. This allows you to have a more usable nib for normal writing, but access to a more expressive nib on the reverse.

PERSPECTIVE

Inspired by the Naginata Togi nib, the Perspective grind is similar to an Architect Point in that the down stroke is narrower than the cross stroke. We did a Perspective in a regular size with the aim to write with it for daily writing (planners, notes, etc) adding style and distinctiveness to your handwriting.
