Sailor Pro Gear Slim Wagashi is a series of fountain pens inspired by traditional japanese sweets (wagashi) tasted during the tea ceremony. The origins of Wagashi are thought date back to the Jomon era, more than a few thousand years ago, and is considered like a kind of dumpling made of crushed and rolled nuts.
Each fountain pen presents a seasonal Japanese sweet with a special combination of colors to follow the writer during its trip within the Japanese culture and traditions.
Sailor Pro Gear Slim Wagashi Sakuramochi features a green resin with gold plated elements. It is inspired by the Mochi (rice cake) covered with a salted Sakura leaf. There are two types of sakuramochi, Kanto style, in which the red bean paste is rolled in a crepe-like baked dough made from flour, and Kansai style, in which the red bean paste is wrapped in a steamed dough made from soaked and ground rice cake.
Professional Gear Slim, know also as Pro Gear Slim and Sapporo, has a unique design with a cut-away cap and inlaid Sailor anchor logo on the top. It's famous worldwide for the quality of its 14 kt gold nib. You will be able to fill this fountain pen with the converter included in the box. It accepts only original Sailor cartridges/converter.
