Taccia Raden Ama-Iro is the collection of fountain pens made with one of the most famous and appreciated maki-e technique worldwide. The word Raden is made from Ra, means the shellfish having the spiral shell, and Den, means the decoration by metal or shell.
Every fountain pen is hand-inlaid underneath several coats of Urushi lacquer, then buffed to visibility. And finally, multiple layers of ki-urushi is applied and polished many times until each Taccia Raden Ama-Iro is done.
Ogni penna stilografica è infatti intarsiata a mano sotto diversi strati di lacca Urushi e poi lucidata per rendere visibile il gioco di colori della tecnica maki-e Raden. Diversi strati di Ki-Urushi vengono poi applicati e lucidati diverse volte per completare ogni Taccia Raden Ama-Iro.
The design of this pen came from the scabbard of Japanese Samurai sword and. It is a perfect cylindric made with precious and high-quality ebonite. Taccia Raden Ama-Iro Hekiku features a black ebonite body with blue details and Raden stripes on cap and body. The 14 KT gold nib is made by Sailor, the pen in fact only accept original Sailor converter/cartridges.
On the bottom body is hand-painted a signature from the artist and its serial number. Limited edition to only 35 pieces worldwide.
