Inspired by science, geometry, and balance, Taccia Kaku-Tate combines old-world techniques with innovative design to produce a fountain pen that is not only beautiful in its minimalism, but functional and luxurious in look and feel.
To represent these concept every fountain pen is made with a 12 facets design on ebonite material which is coated with many laters of Urushi lacquer from Japanese craftsmen.
After multiple layers of color are added, each barrel is precision sanded to bring out both the intricate 12-sided shape and the duo-tone contract from the Urushi lacquer underneath. Each barrel is then individually polished and finished with additional Urushi to protect and seal the work and bring out its brilliant finish.
The black color of Taccia Kaku-Take Asagi fountain pen is contrasted by blue details and a gold clip. The 14 KT gold nib is made by Sailor, the pen in fact only accept original Sailor converter/cartridges.
