To celebrate MD Paper 15th Anniversary, the company invited 15 artists to get creative with the MD Notebook and enjoy the way you can write everywhere, even the cover. Then they created a special-edition MD Notebooks with the artists' illustrations and writing blind embossed on the covers.
COOKIEBOY is a Tokyo-based artist. Cookies are the canvas for this icing artist. His works are a treat for the eyes and taste buds alike, making art a part of people's daily lives. The inspiration for his career came from his friend's reaction to some artistic cookies he made as an anniversary present. His friend's face apparently lit up like a child's.
About the work for MD Paper, COOKIEBOY said: "I bake a cake or cookies every day. I'm always thinking about who I can gift them to. People's birthdays only come once a year, so I want them to be special. Food is impermanent by definition, so I want to make sure people are left with great memories. That's the kind of experience I want my notebook to be."
